Professions Act
  • Alberta legislation - the EGGP Act
  • Defines the practice of the professions
  • Grants exclusive right to title
  • Grants exclusive scope of practice
  • Grants the privilege of self-governance
  • Establishes APEGGA and the governance framework

Professional Registration
  • Accredited university degree or equivalent
  • Experience, minimum of 4 years
  • Professional practice examination

How to Register
  • Practice Workshop, Luncheon Iron Ring Ceremony
  • EIT application is attached to invitation
  • Submission of application at workshop, waives
    registration fee and first years dues
  • Once University confirms your graduation you will
    be registered as EITs
  • Keep the application package for details of the
    Board of Examiners expectations
