- The mission of the National Student Clearinghouse
is to facilitate the exchange and understanding
of student enrollment, performance, and related
information in support of the education

- Created in 1993 to facilitate the flow of student
enrollment information - Formerly the National Student Loan Clearinghouse
- In 1999, name changed to National Student
Clearinghouse to emphasize services extending
beyond student loans
