Hi Oh Silver Away!
4To show the function table on the calculator
Enter the function ! 2 a OR x 1
Look at Table Use the arrow keys to move up
and down the table What does a function graph
look like????? 6 Use and the arrow keys to
move along the line. The display will not be
friendly to students because the values are not
integers. 8 will make the display
friendly.

Complete the
table
Functions and Graphs Why do we have to know
this?????? Why should this be important to
me?????? Famous Question What do I have to
make on my next test to have a B? (85 or what
for lowest B?) Grades so far 99, 85, 77,
80 Next test ???? X !!!! Set up ( 99 85
77 80 X ) / 5 Output AVERAGE!!!!
6We can make a table and fill in valuesOR we can
use technology .. ! ( 99 85 77
80 x ) / 5 To set up the graph paper
_at_ input ? x ? test grade x0,100
5 output ? y ? average y0,1005
Try not to look so excited. Use and the arrow
keys to answer the question. If you prefer the
function table.. ltTABLEgt No applause,
just money!
7What Does It Look Like

10NAME THAT LINE
Rules A student enters a linear equation in
y-intercept form (y mx b) into Y . The
slope must be between -10 and 10 and the
y-intercept must be between -6 and 6 using whole
numbers ( when students get good at this, then
they can use rational numbers). After pressing
GRAPH the student then hands their calculator to
their partner and visa versa. Without pressing
Y , the student guesses what the linear
equation is. Make sure the students have the
same window!! A friendly window works very
nicely. Students can also use TRACE or
anything else that they want to use as long as
they do not use Y.
11Key strokes to guess p 6 (do not type y
) enter the linear equation and press
enter. If the graph doesnt
appear, you can put another guess on top of it
by using the same key strokes or you can
erase your guess by the following
