• All problems are solved in 30 minutes or maybe
  1½ to 2 hours.
• FOX Around the World in 80 Seconds!?
• And now you know everything going on in the
  world?!

• What we read.
• Not what we have to read for work or a class.
• But what do we choose to read that has value?
• What have we read recently that would improve our
  life?
• God intends that we read this is why He gave us
  His word.

• Finally, brethren, whatever things are true,
  whatever things are noble, whatever things are
  just, whatever things are pure, whatever things
  are lovely, whatever things are of good report,
  if there is any virtue and if there is anything
  praiseworthy meditate on these things.

What are we listening to?

• Some people listen a lot more to their radios
  than others.
• I use an iPod.
• I love using it because it is filled with music
  that I like.

• 22.5 of it is country.
• 22.3 of it is religious music.
• 16.9 is rock.
• 16.1 is jazz.
• 8.8 is classical.
• The rest is various stuff like soundtracks, pop,
  Latin, electronic, holiday, new age (?!)

Ecclesiastes 716-18

• Do not be excessively righteous, and do not be
  overly wise. Why should you ruin yourself? Do not
  be excessively wicked, and do not be a fool. Why
  should you die before your time? It is good that
  you grasp one thing, and also not let go of the
  other for the one who fears God comes forth with
  both of them true righteousness and wisdom.

What are we going to feed our head, our soul?

What are we doing to get closer to God?

• Do the things we choose to entertain our minds
  the TV shows, movies, books, Internet do these
  things draw us closer to God? Or are they pulling
  us away from God?

• Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
  Cleanse your hands, you sinners and purify your
  hearts, you double-minded.

2 Corinthians 617 71

• Come out from among them and be separate, says
  the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I
  will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and
  you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD
  Almighty. Therefore, having these promises,
  beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all
  filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting

Perfecting holiness

• Practice makes perfect.
• Practice makes permanent.
• If we do not practice holiness put holiness
  into practice then we will not be holy.

  sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace
  that will be brought to you at the revelation of
  Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be
  conformed to the passions of your former
  ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you

• There are many choices that must be deliberately
  made and followed.
• What will we choose today?
• Will we come to the feast prepared by God through
  His word?
• Or will we dine on the fast-food of our culture?
