  to focus on the good parts of life and not the
  bad.

• The title is making reference to when the main
  character hears the girl and mom fight every
  night on the other side of the main characters
  bedroom wall.

• The baby could have possibly represented hope and
  when it died so did the mothers hope in life so
  she became depressed.

Authors Purpose

• The author wrote this story to show the reader of
  how no matter how bad you think youve got it,
  there is probably someone out there dealing with
  a much worse situation so look at the bright side
  of things and dont let life get you down.
