Luke 4-5 John 2 Mt 8-9

    Passover.
  • 214-25 Jesus cleanses the Temple (the 1st time).
  • 31-36 He teaches Nicodemus.
  • 41-45 He teaches the Samaritan woman.
  • 444 Jesus preaches in some Judean synagogues.
  • 51-11 Jesus directs a great catch of fish.
  • Peter begins to fearfully recognize power in
    Jesus.
  • Jesus makes them fishers of men.
  • 517-26 The paralytic whom Jesus forgives and
    heals is let down through the roof.
  • 527-32 Jesus calls Levi (Matthew).

    Nain.
  • Only Luke records this.
  • Nain is a little South of Nazareth.
  • Jesus responds out of compassion for the widow.
  • 36-50 A sinful woman anoints Jesus' feet.
  • This is at the home of Simon the Pharisee.
  • She wipes his feet with tears, her hair, and
    expensive ointment.
  • Jesus uses Simons objection to the sinner to
    teach about how much a forgiven sinner loves.
  • This should not be confused with a similar story
    at the end of the other Gospel accounts.

    severely tormented.
  • He broke chains people used to contain his rage.
  • He cried out night and day and bruised himself
    with stones, and wears no clothes.
  • The man is possessed by Legion.
  • He ends up clothed and in his right mind.
  • When he begs to go with Jesus, Jesus tells him to
    go and tell people what God has done for him.
  • He tells people what Jesus did.
  • He spreads this all over the Decapolis.

    requests a miracle is named Jairus, and his dying
    daughter is 12 years old.
  • 525-26 The woman who seeks a miracle while
    Jesus is on the way to Jairuss house has
    suffered much from doctors with no relief.

    responds in fear until Jesus praises her.
  • 537 841 Jesus takes only Peter, James, John,
    and the girls parents in when he raises her.
  • 849 Jesus tells the girls parents to get her
    something to eat.
