The Caddo and What They Ate

• The Caddo where very friendly to the Apaches. The
  Apaches fished and the Caddo hunted. They traded
  deer for fish and buffalo for fish. The Caddo
  liked to cook over a open fire .The also hunted
  turkey and they searched and picked berries .

Caddo and their Art
The Caddo loved to make pottery. When they were
in war they buried their possessions. They were
very smart for there time.

Religion

• The Caddo were christens they believed in one god
  named Ah-ah Ha- yo witch means great father
  above. The priest house was a temple built on top
  of hills.

Housing

• The Caddo lived in Wickiups. The Wickiups were
  made out of wood and prairie grass. The Wickiups
  lasted about one year.

Clothing

• The Caddo made their cloths out of animal skin.
  On hot summer days they did not wear a top or
  bottom.

This is animal skin.

Sports

• They played a game called lacross. You had a net
  and you had to catch a ball in the net. It was
  violent because they hit each other.

This is the net they used.
