• Background
• Started in 1980 with only 11 markets, 4 carriers
• HQ AMC/A43P designated DOD representative
• Now over 4,000 city pairs worldwide, 14 carriers
• Average 72 discount off comparable commercial
  fares
• 80 of official DOD travel uses GSA City Pair
  fares
• Saves Federal government nearly 2.0 billion
  annually
• Authorized users
• Federal and military employees on official travel
• Invited travelers on official business
• Contractors may never use City Pair fares

• Tickets fully refundable
• Contract fare constant for 12 months
• No advance purchase or length of stay
  requirements
• No charge for cancellations or changes
• No blackout periods
• Nonstop awarded in 95 of the markets where
  offered
• Dual fares (capacity controlled fares)
• Significant savings of full YCA fare when you
  book early and dont make changes to itinerary

• Exceptions to Mandatory Use
• No seats/flights available in time to accomplish
  mission
• Use of contract service would require the
  traveler to incur unnecessary overnight lodging
  costs that would increase the total cost of the
  trip
• A lower priced commercial fare is offered to the
  general public traveler may be responsible for
  costs
• All flights are outside core work hours
• Cost-effective rail travel is available
• No non-smoking flights are available
