  • Queen Elizabeth I was the daughter of King Henry
    VIII.
  • She ruled for 45 years, a time called the
    Elizabethan Age.
  • She defeated the Spanish Armada in 1588.
  • Margaret Thatcher was Great Britains first woman
    Prime Minister.
  • Her nickname was the Iron Lady.
  • She was politically conservative and brought high
    unemployment to Great Britain.

  • The Government must not think that they can stop

    England. Emmeline Pankhurst was saying that the

    voting and law-making process.

    vote, it would be the end of family life.
  • National Womens Suffrage Association and the
    American Woman Suffrage Association were two
    organizations working for womens voting rights.

    1878, but it didnt pass until 40 years later.
