• Chapter members organized a successful outdoors
  event for members of the 142-year-old not-for
  profit group Girls Incorporated
• Girls Incorporated is a national nonprofit youth
  organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to
  be strong, smart, and bold.

Accreditation

• SAF provides accreditation for 50 forestry
  programs across the United States.
• We recently implemented a new accreditation
  standard for urban forestry.
• We are working on moving from recognizing
  forestry technician programs, to full
  accreditation.
• Currently we have 21 forestry technician programs
  recognized in the United States and 3 in Canada.

Working with Congress and the Administration

• Regularly visit with members of Congress to
  discuss important forestry issues
• Work with the Administration on implementation of
  forestry laws and regulations
• Support foresters in the field by talking with
  decision makers
