Title: GLOBRITE SITE SINGLE PIN BROKEN FIBER REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS

1
GLO-BRITE SITE SINGLE PIN BROKEN FIBER REPAIR
INSTRUCTIONS
PIN HOLDER ASSEMBLY
  • The pin holder assembly contains six wraps of
fiber. If a fiber is broken at the pin, the
repair will result in one less wrap of fiber.

WINDAGE PLUG
STEP 1
  • Remove the pin holder assembly from the sight.
(Before removal, note the mounting location of
the windage plug to make reassembly and
    re-sighting easier.)
  • Remove the screw in the bottom of the metal ring.
The pin may now be removed from the sight by
    lifting it upward and out.
  • Remove the set screw on both sides of the metal
ring and the flat head screw on the top of the
    metal ring.
  • Slide the clear aperture out of the metal ring.

GLO-BRITE SITE SINGLE PIN BROKEN FIBER REPAIR
INSTRUCTIONS
  • CAREFULLY loosen the fiber from the clear
aperture by gently pulling the fiber through the
inner most hole and to the outside of the
    aperture.
  • Only pull enough fiber to be able to repair the
pin. This is typically about 2-3 inches. Trim
the broken end if necessary to make it straight.
    Trim the least amount possible.
  • Be sure not to sharply bend the fiber. If the
fiber is cracked or bent too sharply, it will not
function properly and should not be reused.

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Rewrap the fiber around the aperture.
  • Push the fiber into the inner most hole from the
outside of the aperture and back into the center
    of the sight.
  • Place the aperture back into the metal ring
securing the fiber in the space allowed for it.
  • Replace the flathead screw at the top of the
metal ring and the two set screws in the sides of
    the metal ring.
  • Do not over-tighten the two set screws. Stop
tightening when you feel them make contact with
    the clear aperture.
  • Place the fiber through the hole in the fiber
support on the back of the pin from the bottom
    end of the hole.
  • Place the pin in the square hole in the aperture
and secure it with the 3/16 button head screw at
    the bottom of the sight.

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Thread the loose end of the fiber through the
hole in the pin from the back of the sight
towards the front. Be sure the fiber seats in
the fiber support slot. Trim the fiber to allow
about 1/32 of fiber sticking out of the pin.
  • Flaring the fiber
  • Note Practice flaring the ends of the excess
fiber before proceeding to flare the fiber in the
    pin.
  • Flare the end of the fiber by bringing a heat
source such as a soldering iron close to the end
    of the fiber.
  • DO NOT TOUCH THE FIBER WITH THE HEAT SOURCE.
  • Remount the pin holder assembly into the sight.
You can now re-sight your bow.
