• Morning pickups
• Hilton Garden Inn
• arrives 0800, departs 0815
• Bank of America shuttle stop
• arrives 0825, leaves 0830 (approx.!)
• Evening dropoffs
• Sunday
• loads 1900, leaves 1915
• will stop at Shattuck and Center for those
  staying in Berkeley
• Monday
• loads 1830, leaves 1845 (stop at Shattuck and
  Center)
• Tuesday
• loads 1830, leaves 1845 for restaurant
• loads 2100 (approx.) from restaurant (stop at
  Shattuck and Center)
• Wednesday, tbd

Lunch Today

• We will be bringing in sandwiches, salad, and
  drinks for those who ordered them (38 people)
• there will be a limited number of vegetarian
  sandwiches for those who desire this option
• if you ordered lunch, please pay (10) either to
  me or Wes Tabler at the morning break
• please note that the cost of the order comes from
  my personal funds, not lab funds
• even if you have changed your mind, payment is
  due
• if you choose to go off-site, you will need to
  provide your own transportation
• and be back here at 1330 for the afternoon
  session

Working Dinner (1)

• The banquet will be at Cafe Venezia, 1799
  University Avenue near Grant
• street parking is possible, but not easy
• dinner will begin at 1900 and end at about 2100
• the bus will return people to the Hilton, and to
  downtown Berkeley if they do not wish to walk

• Menu
• Appetizer Soup or Salad choice
• Main Course Chicken Fettuccine, Linguine
  Bolognese, or vegetarian Ravioli choice
• Dessert Torta Gelato or Almond Torte choice
• also, 2 glasses of house wine and coffee are
  included in the price
• if additional beverages are desired, please order
  these yourself and pay for them separately
• please pay either Wes or me (50) if you have
  signed up to go
• this cost too is from my personal funds, so, if
  you signed up, payment is required, even if you
  change your mind
• Wes and I will have a list of who ordered what
  and will provide color-coded tickets to simplify
  serving

Working Dinner (3)

• In order to justify the bus transportation to and
  from the restaurant on Tuesday, it is necessary
  to have a working dinner
• there will be a brief discussion after dinner
  that satisfies this requirement
• Steve Geer will present his view of The Path to
  a Muon Collider
• we will be in a public area, not a private room,
  so acoustics will be far from ideal
• it will be okay to ask some questions or make
  (relevant) comments during the talk
• more detailed discussion should await the wrap-up
  session on Wednesday
