3Charles proposed
- It is proposed to submit this New Work Item both
to the DICOM Committee and ISO TC 215. - The DICOM Committee will establish an Ad-hoc
Working Group to which this NWI will be assigned.
This group will be called Medical Imaging Web
Access WG. - ISO member bodies will be offered to nominate
experts to the Medical Imaging Web Access Ad hoc
WG. These nominated experts will be granted the
same rights as DICOM nominated experts (e.g.
voting is done within meetings and quorum
excludes experts having missed two consecutive
meetings). - The group will produce a DICOM Standard
Supplement. - The DICOM Public Comment procedures will include
ISO TC 215 nominated experts to this group as
well as TC215 WG2 members. - The Chair of this group and the Editor for this
work item will be selected by its members. To
launch this group, Hidenori Shinoda (Japan member
body representative to TC215 WG 2) and Nick Brown
(UK member body representative to TC215 WG 2) are
proposed as interim co-chairs and Emmanuel
Cordonnier (DICOM WG 10) as interim editor. - This group will meet at least once a year at the
common meeting between ISO TC215/WG2 and
DICOM/WG10. - The resulting standard will be balloted both as a
DICOM Standard and an ISO TC 215 standard. This
new work item will be executed by an ad-hoc group
of DICOM WG6 the Base Standards Working Group.
This Medical Imaging Web Access AWG will operate
under the DICOM procedures extended to take into
account direct involvement of ISO TC 215.

Access to DICOM Persistent Objects). - Co-Chair Nicholas Brown
