Overview of Relationship Management
A network is an organized collection of your
personal contacts and your personal contacts own
networks. Networking is finding fast whom you
need to get what you need in any given situation
and helping others do the same.
  • Milgrams test proved the importance of being an
enabler. Six degrees of separation. 160 people,
6 turns, most came through one person.
  • Are you a connector? 250 surnames, one point for
every name you know. Average for students is
20.96, profs 39 and his friends 41, out of 400-24
    below 20, 8 over 90 and 4 above 100. Roger
Horchow was above 100, genuinely interested in
people. Sprinkled among every walk of life, in
other words, are a handful of people with a truly
extraordinary knack of making friends and
    acquaintances.

Relationships provide the foundation for your
success.
  • Look for enablers and offer something they need.
  • Develop a circle of 10 best friends/solid
    connections.
  • Do not overlap your Top 10.
  • Get outside your box of comfort. You dont want
    clones of your self.
  • Always have something you can help a friend with.
Word spreads fast if you are known as a giver
    and not a taker.
  • Take a new person to lunch every day.
  • Take your Top10 Enabler Circle to lunch once a
    quarter.
  • Develop a Top 25 List of Connectors/Enablers.
  • 80 of jobs and opportunities are started from a
    direct relationship.
  • Great books The Tipping Point, How Little Things
Can Make a Big Difference. Malcolm Gladwell,
Dig Your Well Before youre Thirsty, Harvey
    Mackay
  • Your standing among your peers is probably the
single most accurate indicator of the value of
    your network. Harvey Mackay

All my life I have only been as good as
my Associates, and in them I have found my good
luck, my fortune. Conrad Hilton
At least 80 of jobs and business starts are a
