2Lets Look at it right away
- Samson
- As Samson and his parents were going to Timnah, a
young lion attacked Samson in the vineyards on
the outskirts of the town. At that moment the
Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him and
since he had no weapon, he ripped the lion's jaws
apart and did it as easily as though it were a
young goat! But he didn't tell his father or
mother about it. - Judges 145-6 TLB
3Samson had the Spirit of Might
- Judges 1512-15 NASU
- They said to him, "We have come down to bind you
so that we may give you into the hands of the
Philistines." And Samson said to them, "Swear to
me that you will not kill me." So they said to
him, "No, but we will bind you fast and give you
into their hands yet surely we will not kill
you."
4- Then they bound him with two new ropes and
brought him up from the rock. When he came to
Lehi, the Philistines shouted as they met him. - And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him
mightily so that the ropes that were on his arms
were as flax that is burned with fire, and his
bonds dropped from his hands. He found a fresh
jawbone of a donkey, so he reached out and took
it and killed a thousand men with it.
5You dont have to be a tough guy

- Then the angel of the LORD came and sat under
the oak that was in Ophrah, which belonged to
Joash the Abiezrite as his son Gideon was beating
out wheat in the wine press in order to save it
from the Midianites. The angel of the LORD
appeared to him and said to him, "The LORD is
with you, O valiant warrior." - Then Gideon said to him, "O my lord, if the LORD
is with us, why then has all this happened to us?
And where are all His miracles which our fathers
told us about, saying, 'Did not the LORD bring us
up from Egypt?' But now the LORD has abandoned us
and given us into the hand of Midian. -
6- The LORD looked at him and said, " Go in this
your strength and deliver Israel from the hand of
Midian. Have I not sent you? - He said to Him, "O Lord, how shall I deliver
Israel? Behold, my family is the least in
Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father's
house." But the LORD said to him, "Surely I will
be with you, and you shall defeat Midian as one
man." - So Gideon said to Him, "If now I have found favor
in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You
who speak with me.
7Elijah had the Spirit of Might
- 1 Kings 1841-46
- Now Elijah said to Ahab, "Go up, eat and drink
for there is the sound of the roar of a heavy
shower." So Ahab went up to eat and drink. But
Elijah went up to the top of Carmel and he
crouched down on the earth and put his face
between his knees. He said to his servant, "Go
up now, look toward the sea." -
- So he went up and looked and said, "There is
nothing." And he said, "Go back" seven times. It
came about at the seventh time, that he said,
"Behold, a cloud as small as a man's hand is
coming up from the sea. -
8- And he said, "Go up, say to Ahab, ' Prepare your
chariot and go down, so that the heavy shower
does not stop you.'" In a little while the sky
grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a
heavy shower. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel.
- Then the hand of the LORD was on Elijah, and he
girded up his loins and outran Ahab to Jezreel.

- Dunamis -Force, specifically miraculous power
10The Holy Spirit Gives Might
- Acts 18 AMP
- But you shall receive power (ability,
efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has
come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in
Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the
ends (the very bounds) of the earth.
11What is the Spirit of Might?
- The Ability to perform or accomplish anything

12Are You Causing Any Trouble?

13This evil Song ravaged America

14Emasculation
- 1. To castrate, to deprive a male of certain
parts which characterize the sex, to geld, to
deprive of virility. - 2. To deprive of masculine strength or vigor to
weaken to render effeminate to vitiate by
unmanly softness.
15Three Things Emasculate a Man
- Fear of man, of failure, of rejection, etc.
- Sensuality
- Selfishness or immaturity
161. The Fear of Man
- The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever leans
on, trusts in, and puts his confidence in the
Lord is safe and set on high. Proverbs

Or am I striving to please men? If I were still
trying to please men, I would not be a

17The Truth, the Whole Truth and
- For our exhortation does not come from error or
impurity or by way of deceit but just as we
have been approved by God to be entrusted with
the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but
God who examines our hearts. - For we never came with flattering speech, as you

18Remember the Mighty Elijah?

29Beware the Snare

32You Get Might from God

Because of the greatness of His might and the

Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the

35The Disciples Understood
