2Story Time With 2M at Aspley
- This term, we have been learning about Australia,
its features and animals. The children sent a
koala called Koko all around Australia to their
family and friends. Koko had his photo taken at
different places all around Australia and these
photos have been displayed in the classroom.
Koko fever has taken over our class with the
children constantly talking about where Koko has
been. The children have written narratives about
an adventure that Koko has had. They had to
write a plan with a problem and resolution and
then use this plan to construct their own
narratives. I am really pleased with their
stories and am delighted to share them with you.
Please enjoy reading the childrens stories as

3Koko And His Friend by Jack Burton
- Once upon a time there was a koala called Koko.
He lived in the Australian forest. One day he
was playing in the Australian forest. He climbed
down the tree and found a friend called Quinn.
He was a snake. He helped Koko get out of the
forest. They saw a humans house. Koko went
into the humans house and he got scared. The
man who lived there took him to the end of the
forest back to his tree. Koko visited his house
and the man visited Koko too.

- Once upon a time there was a little koala called
Koko. He lived in Australia. One day he was
sleeping. Koko was dreaming. He was dreaming
about sunbaking in the sun. When he was dreaming
he was dribbling. Koko was wiggling around and
giggling so much he fell out of the tree and into
the lake. Koko was sad and scared because it did
not feel like his home. His home felt dry. Koko
realised he wasnt in his tree. Suddenly he saw
something was above him. It was Tia the swan.
Koko was very happy. Tia put Koko on her back so
Koko would be used to water. Tia the swan took
Koko for a ride and Koko was not scared.

- Once upon a time Koko was in a tree. Koko was
eating eucalyptus leaves. There was no noise.
Koko started to fall asleep. Koko heard some
noise. He started to wake up. He saw a car
coming towards him. There was a wood cutter in
the car. He was coming to cut Kokos tree down.
Koko fell out of the tree and hurt himself.
There was a person. The person was a zoo keeper.
The zoo keeper took Koko to the zoo. The zoo
keeper fixed Koko up and Koko lived at the zoo
from now on and they all lived happily ever after.

- One day a koala called Koko lived in a tree.
Kokos tree was beside a billabong. One day Koko
was sleeping. Then Koko woke up. It was a croc.
Koko ran away. He was scared when he was
running. Then he saw a new tree. When the croc
did not see him, he climbed up the tree. His new
tree was big. Koko has a view and he saw the
billabong where he used to live. Koko was happy
in his new tree and he was safe.

He was living in the Australian bush. One day
Koko was having a sleep in his tree. He was just
waking up because a kookaburra was laughing.
Koko started to have breakfast. Just then a very
strong wind came up and Koko was very scared.
Then Koko has an idea. Koko went to another
tree. It didnt move. Koko lived happily ever
after.

- Once upon a time there was a koala. His name was
Koko. He lived in the bush. Koko was sleeping
in a tree. Some men came along and cut down the
tree. Koko woke up and he didnt know what
happened to his tree. His tree was on the ground.
His brother helped him find another tree. His
name was Jack. They went walking to find Koko
another tree. Koko found a tree but it was
already taken by kookaburras. They walked and
they walked until they found a tree. It had
nobody it the tree. Koko said this will be a
great tree. They lived in it forever and ever.

He lived in a gum tree in the bush. One day he
was sleeping in his gum tree. While Koko was
sleeping a magpie came along and he landed on his
tree. He was making lots of noise. Koko woke up
in surprise. He was scared. He fell out of his
tree. SMASH! He was sore all over. The magpie
felt sorry. He took Koko to the animal hospital.
They had bandaids and put them on Koko. Koko
and Magpie were friends for ever. The lived
happily ever after.

- Once upon a time there was a koala called Koko.
Koko was in a tree. One morning Koko ate so much
that Koko ran out of food. A boy saw Koko and
the boy told someone in the house. Then the boy
went to the shop and bought some gum tree seeds
and planted them. They were magic so they grew
quickly. The tree grew big and Koko climbed up
it. Koko had lots of leaves to eat. Koko was
happy.

- Once upon a time there was a Koala called Koko.
Koko lived in a bush. One day Koko was in a gum
tree eating gum leaves. Koko looked down to see
a wood cutter and Kokos friend bird saw the wood
cutter too. The wood cutter had an axe. Then
Kokos friend bird went to Kokos other bird
friends. Bird said a wood cutter is going to
cut down Kokos tree and we have to do
something! Then then birds were thinking about
saving Koko. After a while they came up with a
plan. They went back and carried him to the
ground before the wood cutter could cut down the
tree. Koko said thank you and ran up another
tree. Koko liked his new tree and he lived
happily ever after. The end

- Once upon a time there was a little koala called
Koko. Koko lived in a bush in Australia. One
day, Koko felt rain drops on Kokos head. It was
starting to rain. Koko did not like rain on his
fur. Koko wanted to find shelter. Koko looked
up in the sky to see if Kookaburra was there.
Koko said to Kookaburra can you help me go to
Bilbys so I can have shelter? Kookaburra said
yes. I will help you Koko. Kookaburra took
Koko to Bilbys burrow. Kookaburra called out
Bilby. Bilby came out and said are you ok
Kookaburra? Yes said Kookaburra but Koko
doesnt like rain on his fur. Bilby said come
and stay with me. Koko said thank you Bilby
for letting me stay in your burrow. Youre
welcome said Bilby. Koko stayed in Bilbys
burrow until the rain stopped.

- Once upon a time there was a koala. His name was
Koko. He lived in the forest. One day Koko was
playing hide and seek with Jack the crocodile.
It was Kokos turn. He wandered out of the
forest. Koko was in Sydney. Koko felt little in
a big city. Koko was wandering around and he
wandered into Adrians home. Adrian kept him as
a pet and Koko was happy.

koalas name was Koko. Koko was eating gum
leaves. One day Koko heard a chop, chop noise.
Koko saw a man with an axe. Koko got very
scared. The tree fell down and Koko had no where
to live. Then he found his friend possum. Koko
saw possum and said are you alright? No
said possum. Ive lost my house. Koko said
Ive lost my house too So they set off
together. So they searched to find a new home in
the trees. The finally found the right tree.
They built a new house in the tree. They lived
happily ever after.

- Once upon a time there was a koala called Koko.
Koko was in a bush. Koko lived in Brisbane. One
day Koko was in his tree. Then the branch broke
off. Koko fell on the ground and hurt himself.
Then Nick saw him hurt. Then Nick came over and
said are you alright? Koko said yes. Then
Nick helped him back into another tree. Koko
thanked Nick for helping him in another tree.

- Once upon a time there was a koala called Koko.
Koko live in the bush in a gum tree. Koko was
asleep in the gum tree. He was snoring and
dreaming. Koko was dreaming about playing in the
gum tree. Then all of a sudden he fell out of
the gum tree. He fell on the ground. He hurt
himself. Tyla came home from school. She found
Koko hurt on the ground. Then she carried him to
the vet. He had to stay there two nights. The
next day he was all better. Tyla came to the vet
to see Koko. She talked to the vet lady. She
said hes all better already. Then Tyla came
with Koko to a lake. Koko liked it there. He
went to find his koala friends. Koko lived with
his friends from then on. They lived happily
ever after.

- Once upon a time there was a little koala named
Koko. He was in his tree sleeping. Kenny
Kookaburra woke up. Then he laughed and laughed
and laughed so loud, that it woke up Koko. Then
Koko fell out of his tree. He was sad and hurt.
Then Koko had an idea. He went to koala hospital
and got wrapped in bandages. Then he was all
better and he walked to Kennys tree and said
can you stop laughing? So Kenny never laughed
again.

- Once upon a time there was a koala called Koko.
He lived in a gum tree. One day Koko was
climbing and playing in his tree. He climbed to
the top of the tree. When he got to the top of
the tree he got scared. Kokos animal friends saw
Koko looking scared. Snake tried to sliver up
the tree but he couldnt. Then Kangaroo tried
but he couldnt climb the tree. Then Emu tried
but Emu couldnt climb the tree. Then Koko got
more scared. Then his heart was shaking. The
Snake had an idea. He wanted the animals to
climb on top of each other to reach Koko. Snake
was on the top, then Kangaroo, then Emu. Then
Emu fell down and Kangaroo and Snake fell down
too. Then a pidgeon flew into the tree to rescue
Koko. Then they all had a party. The end

went for a walk. Koko was walking very far that
Koko got lost. Koko cried because Koko got lost.
Koko was scared. Koko saw his friend Kangaroo
hop by. Koko said to Kangaroo can you please
help me to find my way back home? Kangaroo said
yes. I will take you back home Koko. Koko
hopped on Kangaroos back Kangaroo went through
the bush to look for Kokos home. Koko was on
Kangaroos back and Kokos mother said stop
Kangaroo! You found Koko. Kokos mother said
thanks for finding Koko, Kangaroo. Thats ok,
said Kangaroo. After that it never happened
again to Koko.
20Koko In Melbourne by William Cavanough
- Once upon a time there was a koala called Koko.
Koko was in a Melbourne bush. One day Koko was
sitting in his tree. Koko smelt smoke. He was
smoke. There was a fire. It was heading towards
him. Koko was scared. The fire fighters
organised two fire trucks and one fire
helicopter. They put out the fire with hoses.
Then Koko was saved. All the animals cheered.

- Once upon a time a crocodile lived in water.
Koko lived in a tree. Koko is a koala.
Crocodile is a crocodile. Koko fell out of the
tree. Greg was walking. Koko dropped in Gregs
hands. Crocodile came out the water. Greg ran
with Koko in his hands. Greg and Koko ran up the
tree. Koko and Greg were up the tree. Koko and
Greg were safe. Crocodiles are too heavy to
climb trees. The end

- Once upon a time there was a koala called Koko.
Koko lived in Australia Zoo. Koko escaped from
the zoo. Koko wanted to explore the forest.
Bindi wanted to show Bob Koko, but Koko was not
there so Bindi went to the forest to hunt for
Koko. She looked in every tree. She could not
find him. Bindi was sad. She did not give up.
She kept on looking. Then she found him. Bindi
took Koko back to the zoo. Bindi put him back in
this cage and put a lock on it. The end.

- Once upon a time there was a koala. The koala
was called Koko. Koko was in a tree eating gum
leaves. Koko was hungry. Then he said I have
eaten all the gum leaves. I will go to the other
tree. Then he fell off the tree. He landed on
a kangaroo. He hopped. Then he stopped. Koko
said sorry. I didnt mean to land on you. I
got scared. Kangaroo got mad. Then Kangaroo
started to run after him. Koko got scared. Koko
climbed a tree. He did not care, he just climbed
a tree. Then Koko said Kangaroo, please stop.
Kangaroo stopped. Koko said thanks Kangaroo.
Then Kangaroo gave Koko lots of rides. They were
friends for ever.

- Once upon a time there was a koala called Koko.
Koko lived in a gum tree. Koko fell out of a
tree. He landed on the ground. Koko was scared
of heights. Koko tried his best to find a new
home. He looked everywhere. Then at last Koko
found somewhere to live... with Wombat. Koko
asked Wombat if he could live with him. Wombat
said yes. At the end Koko was very, very, very
happy to live in his new home. Wombat was very
happy too.
