diploma) - Program name changed to Auto Collision Repair
Refinishing Technician in 1992 - Still one year Technical Diploma but now has same
name as 2 yr. TD - AAS BSEP program added in Nov. of 2003
3 Status Fall 2005
QRP process conducted from Sept. 2005-April 2006.
Issues uncovered were
- Two current programs (AAS TD) not
complementary. No core courses - Poor student evaluations citing dissatisfaction
with quality of instruction - No functioning advisory committee
- GM discontinues support for BSEP Program
- Curriculum not developed up to WIDS standards
- Performance-based assessment not fully integrated
- Facility concerns, comfort of classrooms, no
student lunch/break area - Connection of instruction to relevant career path
uncertain - Chronic student discipline issues
- Students not prepared adequately for industry
certifications - Lack of systematic career guidance and academic
advising
