1Reminders Ped. Day Please note that November
23rd and 24th are professional days. There is
no school for students on those 2 days. The first
is for teachers and child care workers to attend
board workshops. The second is the annual
Teachers Convention. Absences Please call the
school if your child is to be absent for the day
or if he is going to be late. For elementary
students, please call before 830 am and for high
school students, please call before 900 am.

School News
?Mr. Richard has begun his elementary music
classes, to be given on Mondays this year. ?Mr.
Chris Houlihan, our high school counsellor, is
now holding mental-health discussion periods,
Its Cool to Talk. Ask your high school student
about it. ?ONAMACO (martial arts) classes for
our high school and grades 5 6 students are now
underway on a weekly basis. ?Montreal Capoeira
(Brazilian Martial Arts) classes are taking place
once a week, every Tuesday afternoon for cycle
III students. ? We welcome Mrs. Hudsmith as the
fourth parent member on our Governing Board. Our
December meeting will be held on Monday, Dec.
11th at 700 pm. All are welcome to attend.
Upcoming Events Alouette Visit to St. Raphaels
Seven players will be coming to talk to our
students and play basketball against us on Feb.
7th Hepatitis Vaccine The next dose will be
given in early December. Christmas Dinner We
will be asking Generations to supply us with
turkey and trimmings for a holiday meal for our
students. More details to follow. Career
Counselling Our guidance counsellor, Ms. Cathy
Schreiber, will continue with her individualized
career counselling for our Sec. III
students on Monday, Nov. 20th.
Other News Montreal Families Magazine This
informative and valuable child-oriented resource
is now being sent home a monthly basis. ACSES
Information Evening On Thursday you received an
invitation to this information evening for
parents with special-needs children. This
session, to be held at 700 pm on Wednesday, Nov.
29th at 6000 Fielding EMSB head office, will
focus on IEPs and how you can contribute to
them. Money Matters If you have not already
done so, please send in your school fees -
100.00 for the year. If you are unable to send
the full amount, please contact the school so
that other arrangements can be made.
