Placement/Credential File

• Set up a Placement/Credential File through
  eRecruiting in ECSO
• A valuable job search tool you can use and manage
  that contains information about you.
• An online file stored in a central location on a
  non-corruptible, backed-up system and available
  to you 24/7.

What does the placement file contain?

• Your Profile
• Your Resume when you upload it
• Letters of recommendation written by your
  references
• Your eportfolio or the web address of your
  eportfolio linked to your resume
• Hard copy of the Authorization to Release
  Placement File form and General Information form

What does the placement file provide?

• Access to online job vacancies
• Access to your letters of recommendation online
• Employer access to your online resume when you
  upload and publish to Resume Books
• Employer access to your career eportfolio which
  is by your invitation only
• Job referrals

• 10 sets of credentials sent to employers of your
  choice when they request hard copies.
• Your placement file remains in ECSO for 15 years.
  
• Cost of a placement file 50 per placement year
  for new registrants 75 for reactivations.

The Placement Year

• September 1 through September 1 of any given
  year.
• Undergraduates File is active until you obtain
  bachelors degree.
• Graduate students Register in the year you are
  seeking employment.
• Reactivation After file is inactive and when
  you want to conduct another job search.

Mid-America Educators Job Fair

• (Also known as Teacher Placement Day)
• March 5, 2009, 800 a.m. to 300 p.m.
• A caravan of employers from all over the country
  and Illinois attend and interview on that day.
• Held in the Illini Union.
