Chile JMCFE

• Project Sponsor
• Coresa S.A.
• The company is involved in the packaging
  industry, with particular focus on propylene
  woven bags and big bags. Coresa S.A. has
  manufacturing facilities in Chile and Argentina,
  and commercial branches in Chile, Argentina,
  Peru, and Houston, TX.

• Business Strategy
• The project focus is the U.S. market evaluation
  for reverse printed woven propylene bopp bags for
  animal feed, seed, absorbents, human food, and
  pet food applications.

• The Hanger Interactive
• The Hangar Interactive is a subsidiary of
  Critical Mass, based in Calgary, Canada, which
  helps organizations define, build, and expand,
  their Internet strategy and presence. The
  company was established to outsource work in
  design and programming for Critical Mass
  operations in North America and other Omnicom
  digital companies..

• Create a business plan to develop an engagement
  strategy with Critical Mass and other Omnicom
  digital agencies.

• Babson students and advisor will travel to Costa
  Rica in early January.

Spain/LA JMCFE

• Project Sponsor
• Banco Santander
• Santander is the fifth largest bank in the
  world. The bank is committed to higher education
  with over 440 collaborative agreements with
  universities in Latin America. The project
  offer is with Santander Universities Global SMART
  Card Division.  This intelligent card is being
  used by over 3 millions students and employees in
  180 global universities.
• Project
• The project will follow the Fall 2008 J-MCFE. 
  The Spring 2009 J-MCFE will focus on introduction
  of the university smart card into the USA. 
• As a part of an important long-term partnership
  with Babson, the selection process will be highly
  competitive.  Applicants must be highly
  motivated, outcome driven, and be able to fully
  commit to the project and team.  Spanish is
  helpful but not required
• Travel
• As the project develops travel needs will be
  determined.

Applications

• Santander JMCFE, apply individually
• All other JMCFEs- team applications preferred but
  individual applications will be considered
• You may apply to more than one project, but can
  only be selected for one.
• Email resume and letter of interest to Dan
  Gormley (dgormley_at_babson.edu)
• The letter of interest should describe
• - Your interest in the project
• - How you would benefit from the project and how
  you would contribute to the team
• - Any relevant previous experience or skills
• - Your involvement in the Babson community

Logistics Going Forward

• Currently identifying faculty advisors
• Acceptance packet forms must be completed
  immediately upon acceptance
• Travel dates will be confirmed and plans will be
  communicated via email
• Must have a valid US visa for entry into and out
  of the USA
