• Once in 507 B.C.E. in an Ancient Greek city
  called Athens, a beautiful baby was born. They
  named her Helena.

• Helena and her family lived on a rocky hill
  on the coast of Greece.

• By the time she was 4 her father, Solon, was
  in a debt because of the government. He sold her
  to a widow named Hera.

• Hera made Helena teach, sew, cook, clean,
  and everything else she told her to do.

• Hera had two daughters named Athena and
  Hegeso. They were very cruel to to Helena since
  she was so beautiful.

• They were also very jealous. They would
  only give her old, dirty, and ugly clothes.

• 4 weeks later, they got an invitation for a
  party at the Agora. The host was Hercules, an
  Aristocrat.

• Hera agreed to the invitation and told her
  daughters about it. Athena and Hegeso were
  allowed to go, but Helena wasnt.

• They made her make their dresses, and even
  spilt things on purpose just to make Helena clean
  it up.

• The day of the party Hera stepped on her
  dress and ripped it at the knees. Hera stayed
  home (because of the dress) and made Helena sew
  the dress.

• After a while, Hera fell asleep and Helena
  was on her own and snuck out to the agora.

• Once she was out of sight of the house her
  fairy horsemother, Pegasus, stopped her on the
  street and gave her pretty clothes, a good
  hairdo, and sandals.

• Hera woke up and saw that Helena was gone
  and started chasing after her. Hera chased
  Helena in to Herculess party.

• Hercules saw her and asked if she would
  dance with him.

• Hera ran into the party and saw Helena
  dancing with Hercules. Helena saw Hera, kicked
  off her sandals so she could run faster, and
  started sprinting for home.

• About 2 weeks later Hercules came to their
  door and let everybody in the house try on the
  sandals. Except Helena, who was in the back of
  the house working on Heras dress.

• Helena came into the room and told Hera
  that the dress was ready. Then Hercules saw
  Helena and asked if she would try on the sandals.

• The sandals fit!
• Hercules said , I have found my new wife. So,
  Hercules bought Helena and married her.

• They had two children named Mia and
  Pericles.

• They lived happily ever after.
