Objectives
System Design
The mechanical design was first developed with
inventor and then it was cut and fabricated to
meet the needs of the project. The team used a
microphone and a stepper motor for our electrical
design. The team also had to develop a program
that would detect the magnitude of the dog bark
and in return rotate the stepper motor.
The main goal of the project was to develop a dog
feeder so that when a dog barks into the
microphone at a certain magnitude it will relay a
signal to the MRK Controller board, which will
then rotate a stepper motor, dispensing food to
the dog.
Results
The team accomplished its main goal of creating a
system that would dispense food to a dog when the
magnitude of the bark is loud enough.
