Introduction

• Creating visual art is to contribute to
  childrens cognitive development.
• I/O Brush
• An augmented paintbrush that can pick up
  textures, colors, and movements from the real
  world, and allows children to immediately use,
  explore and make drawings with them.

  concrete and familiar material into abstract
  representations

Future Work

• Wireless brush

Conclusions

• Children not only produced drawings, but they
  also explored objects that surround them, and
  during the process, explicitly talked about the
  elements and principle of design such as color,
  texture, and movement.
