Introduction

• Today you are going to be researching information
  on mammals using the web. I will lead you step
  by step, but it will be up to you to get the
  information that you need in order to list the
  characteristics of a mammal. You will also need
  to pick a specific mammal and write at least two
  interesting facts about that mammal and draw a
  picture of the mammal in its habitat.

Getting Started

• First you will need to click on start,
• which is at the bottom left side
• of your page (circled in red).
• Then you will go up to the Internet
• Explorer icon (circled in yellow).

Step 2

• When the page comes up, you will need to click on
  the address box and type in www.yahooloigans.com
  (this is called a search engine) then hit enter.

Step 3

• After you hit enter, wait a few minutes. A page
  should come up that looks like this

Step 4

• Next you want to find
• your search bar.
• When you have found your
• search bar, click in the white
• space and type in
• mammals
• Next click on search.

• Your page should look like this.

Step 6

• Now you need to use the bar on your far right to
  scroll down. Stop and number 4 called All About
  Mammals.

The Last Step

• Finally your page should look like this.
• Now you need to read the information to find out
  what information you want to use.
• If the name of an animal is blue, then you may
  click on it to find out more about it.

Have fun and remember this

• Make sure you list the characteristics of a
  mammal. You will also need to pick a specific
  mammal and write at least two interesting facts
  about that mammal and draw a picture of the
  mammal in its habitat.
