Opening Activity

• At this point in the course, you should be able
  to face your fears about witnessing and overcome
  them. Each week, take a step out of your comfort
  zone and share your faith with the lost in your
  community. The Encouragement section below will
  help give you confidence to do this. Then briefly
  discussany results from sharing your faith in
  the previous week.

Food for Thought

• If you could ask God one question, face to face,
  what would it be? When Hugh Hefner was asked
  this, he replied, Oh, I think the one question
  Id really like to know is the question related
  to an afterlife. And the other question is the
  meaning of it all.We dont need to ask those
  questions because God has given His Word as a
  lamp to our feet and a light to our path. It
  illuminates the way so we know whats ahead of
  us. The afterlife is no mystery, unless we make
  it a mystery by refusing to believe the truth of
  Scripture. Those who refuse to believe are left
  in ignorance and without any reason for
  existence.

• One well known actor said that when he dies, his
  last words will be,That was nice. I wonder what
  it was all about. What a tragedy!The ungodly
  have every reason to be utterly miserable both in
  this life and in the next.

If you, as a Christian, were allowed to ask God
one question face to face, what would it be?

• You dont need to ask aboutwhy there is
  suffering (we live in a fallen creation), the
  purpose of life, or the afterlife. Perhaps, if we
  are brave, we would ask how and when we will
  leave this life. Is that a frightening thought to
  you? Perhaps we should meditate on it,
  alarmingthough it may be. It would help us to be
  more careful when we cross the road or drive a
  car. But it would also help us to make sure that
  we inject eternity into the temporal. Thinking
  about life and its transient nature can help us
  to think about death and eternal implications,
  and thats what matters most.

Encouragement

• I just wanted to let you know that three of our
  church members (all regular attendees and
  supporters) were saved as a result of being
  exposed to the Law, their need to repent,
  etc.This method of evangelism really works.
• Where have I been for the past thirty-three
  years? Preaching life enhancement I guess!
• We have also had two of our youth repent and ask
  Jesus to save them. Praise the Lord! Thats five
  false converts saved! Can you tell Im excited?
