  • Hong Kong remained a British Colony until 1997,
    then it was returned to China.
  • When China occupied Hong Kong, they promised that
    Chinas socialist economic system would not be
    practiced in Hong Kong, so Hong Kong now operates
    a capitalist form of government.
  • As part of China, Hong Kong is now an economic
    and cultural bridge between the capitalist west
    and the communist east.
