• Approx. 1 hour per leadership aspect / movie
• 2 minutes Introduction of actors short plot
• 2 minutes Introduction to key leadership aspects
• 20 minutes Viewing film fragments
• 5 minutes Personal reflection using
  deconstruction questions
• 20 minutes Plenary discussion

• While viewing the film clip ask yourself these
  questions
• How would you characterize this leader? (label
  the leader)
• What is the basis of his / her authority? (why
  him / her?)
• What were the required skills competencies?
  (what does it take?)
• How would you rate his / her performance? (how
  did he / she do?)
• Can this be learned? Taught? (nature or nurture?)
• Which contextual elements were influential?
  (describe the situation)
• What lessons for leadership can be learned? (so
  what?)

• Stranded 205,000 miles from Earth in a crippled
  spacecraft, astronauts Jim Lovell (Hanks), Fred
  Haise (Paxton) and Jack Swigert (Bacon) fight a

  Mission Control, astronaut Ken Mattingly

Norma Rae plot

• Sally Field is Norma Rae, the Southern
  mill-worker who revolutionizes a small town and
  discovers a power in herself she never knew she
  had. Under the guidance of a New York unioniser
  (Ron Leibman) and with increasing courage and
  determination, Norma Rae organizes her fellow
  factory workers to fight for better conditions
  and wages.
