the Romans are going to attack and take over our

he demanded. As the guards dragged him away
Kamet turned his voice into a mad burst and
yelled, You have to believe me!

6 Hmph! Im glad that I took him away. He was no
use, the king scolded in triumph. The king
looked up and saw a vulture. Then he saw the
cobra going in the same direction as the vulture,
and he heard the trotting of the Romans sleek
horses. Clip. Clop. Clip. Clop. Tut heard the
roars of the Romans and complained, I should
have listened! Guards! Get the army ready! Tut
demanded in a massive voice. But before the
guards could speak, Tut added, Romans!
7- The guards echoed, Romans?
8 Suddenly the guards came rustling around the
corner screaming. As Tut walked out, he saw
Anubis with his massive shoulders showing,
growling, and ready to pounce on the Romans. He
held his lips back showing his razor sharp teeth.
Finally Tut commanded, Stop at once Anubis.
9 Kamet approached. I see you have the god of the
jackals for battle, Kamet said. Tut yelled, I
thought I took you away! I escaped.
10 Tut yelled, How!? And what do you mean battle?
We thought you were the Romans! Well sir The
stiff warrior began. I saw the Romans approach
swiftly as I escaped.
11 Guards this time Ill give him a chance. Get
the army ready! Yes sir! they replied. But
sir, we dont have many people. Most are in the
civil war. So? The guards replied, This
is all we have.
12 In addition they saw six Roman gladiators
wearing long red capes, red robes, and their
shiny silver armor. Sleek black horses are what
they rode on. The Romans came trotting over the
clearing. The horses snorting, the Romans yelling
Agh! When the army was ready Tut was walking
back and forth planning the war. When he was done
the Romans were 100 feet away. No more, no less.
On the Romans mark, the archers all fired their
arrows.

16 Three Romans had swords, and three had bows.
The Egyptian guards ran as fast as the wind. They
put up their shields and struck with their spears
at the Romans. Then they heard a loud yell. Tut
got hit with a mace. Anubis was heavy with rage.
All Egyptians were worried. What would they do
without Tut? They all thought the Romans were
going to take over. And THEY DID!
17Ahhhh!
