Foraker area of the Alaska Range
- Overview A new geologic map at 163,360 scale
is being published for four 63k quadrangles
centered on Mt. McKinley. - Status The map is currently in technical review.
78Status and Trends Invasive Species
- A comprehensive multi-partner inventory and
monitoring of invasive and exotic plant species
in Alaska has quadrupled to over 10,000 sites
surveyed since 1997 with an additional 1,000
sites visited in 2004 alone. - In 2004, the Alaska Exotic Plant Information
Clearinghouse http//agdc.usgs.gov/akepic
successfully migrated from the USGS Alaska
Geographic Sciences Office to the Alaska Natural
Heritage Program at the University of Alaska,
Anchorage.
