Introduction
  • Have you ever heard of Steve Buckwalter?
  • Well have you ever heard of Cassius Clay ?
  • In 1960 a group of Louisville, Kentucky
businessmen, led by Mayor Bruce Hoblitzell,
decided to support a young boxer named Cassius
Clay. Soon after, Cassius Clay became the most
recognized athlete in the world as Muhammad Ali.
  • Venture Racing is trying to create a similar
opportunity for Steve Buckwalter. Steve is a
very special talent with great untapped potential
in the world of auto racing. We want to
illustrate how joining this venture can be a very
exciting and rewarding opportunity for you.
  • You will see that a solid foundation has been
established towards achieving the ultimate goals.
The team involved has the work ethic, desire,
and ability to make this exciting opportunity
possible. To truly understand the mission and
potential opportunities you must witness for
yourself the reasons to join this unique venture.
As a result, we will demonstrate how you can
experience first-hand the vision of Venture
    Racing.

6
Introduction
  • This venture began by chance in the spring of
2000. Bob Trafford, owner of U.S. Technologies
and his son, Rob purchased a used micro sprint
after taking a year off from racing. Due to work
conflicts Rob was unable to race as much as he
did when he was in college, but still enjoyed
    being involved in racing.
  • With Bob wanting to race more, a friend
recommended a driver who could drive Bobs car on
Wednesday nights at the highly competitive
    Kutztown Fairgrounds Speedway in Pennsylvania.
This driver was Steve Buckwalter, who instantly
impressed Bob with his skill, aggressiveness,
knowledge, and past success with little or no
resources. As a result of leading the points at
Kutztown, Steve was forced to start nineteenth
each week based on the handicapping system.
Steve would charge to the front each week with
grace and skill, separating himself from all
others, racing against the toughest competition
    in Pennsylvania.
  • It was obvious that Steve had the driving skills
and untapped potential to succeed at a much
higher level. It was also evident Steve had very
little chance to progress further in his current
situation of limited resources and support. The
summer of 2000 sparked an interest to help
develop Steves talent and the challenge and
dream of creating a midget racing team.

Driver Profile
  • Why Steve Buckwalter?
  • Proven results with incredible success
  • Untapped potential
  • Ability to achieve success with limited resources
    finances
  • Dedication and desire to compete at the highest
    level
  • Great personality and communication skills
  • Seeing Is Believing!!!!
  • There is no question that throughout
Pennsylvania Steve is considered one of the most
gifted drivers in open wheel competition. As a
leader and a champion, Steve represents the true
underdog who has been able to do so much with so
    little.

Driver Profile
  • Background
  • Steve Buckwalter was born into a racing family
which gave him the opportunity to begin racing
quarter midgets at the age of five. He found
success very early winning races throughout the
country and attending Grand National events in
Indiana, Ohio, and Alabama. At the age of
twelve, along with quarter midgets, Steve began
racing Go-Karts on both asphalt and dirt, where
    he continued to excel.
  • Steve graduated to Micro Sprints at the young
age of sixteen and has had the most success in
this division. Steve is considered one of the
top drivers at this level, which is one of the
most competitive grass roots racing divisions in
the country. It is common to compete against
50-60 cars each event, where you must qualify for
a twenty-four car feature for an opportunity to
win. Steve has over 100 feature wins and 3 track
championships in the micros as a result of his
skill and determination. Steve also had the
opportunity to drive his older brothers full
size sprint car, where he finished second in his
first race. As a result of Steves success,
    Predator Chassis Company (Harrisburg, Pa)
provides Steve with one of their 250cc House
Cars. Steve also drives a 600cc micro sprint for
the Wee Bee Audio Racing Team (Lancaster, Pa).
