fluorescent light bulbs, antifreeze, rechargeable
batteries, transmission fluid, cleaning solvents,
etc. The town provides an annual collection,
please call the HazWaste Hotline at 860-278-3809
or visit their website at www.theMDC.com for more
information. TRASH AND RECYCLING Please be
sure your trash container is placed at curb-side
facing in the proper direction. See container lid
for instruction. If the driver tags your trash
or recycling container, please make the necessary
changes. Please note that the driver may not
make a return trip until your next collection
day. BAGGED, BOXED OR LOOSE TRASH OUTSIDE OF
YOUR REGULATION TRASH CONTAINER WILL NOT BE
COLLECTED.

Pick-up Schedule Trash and recycling bin must be
at curbside no earlier than 600 p.m. the night
before, and no later than 700 a.m. on your
scheduled collection day. Containers must be
removed from curb as soon as possible after
collection.

This includes trash placed in plastic bags, boxes
and unauthorized trash containers. Leaf
collection, recycling and bulk items. One car
tire off rim is collectable, no
other auto parts accepted. The town supplied
trash container is the only container that will
be emptied by All American Waste. Fill the
container with trash, however, the lid must be
properly closed. Containers may not be refilled
and dumped again within the same week.
Trash Containers There is no charge for one
trash container. Additional trash containers may
be requested at an annual service fee of 60.00
per fiscal year per additional container. The
fiscal year runs July of the current year,
through June of the following year.
The Town of Bloomfield and All American Waste
reserve the right to vary routes, collection
times, dates and drivers.
DO NOT PLACE TRASH OR RECYCLING CONTAINER IN THE
STREET AS THIS WILL CREATE A POTENTIAL SAFETY
ISSUE. DURING THE SNOW MONTHS, CONTAINERS IN
THE STREET INTERFERE WITH SNOW PLOWING.

Residents are allowed to use the Landfill.
Trash will be weighed at the landfill, you will
be charged the current per pound rate. Leaves
and empty propane tanks may be dropped off at no
charge. Landfill is open from 800 a.m. to 400
p.m. Scale Hours are 800 a.m. to 330 p.m.
Monday through Saturday. Please call the
landfill directly for additional information and
directions.

  • Place lids and caps into regular trash.

Holidays Trash collection will be delayed by one
day if any of the celebrated holidays noted below
occur on a weekday. For example, If the
celebrated holiday falls on a Wednesday, then
only those with collection days Wednesday through
Friday would be affected by the delay for that
week only Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day New
Years Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor
Day
CHRISTMAS TREES and LEAVES will be collected on
your regular trash collection day. If your
collection is missed, you must call the town
within 24 hours of the day it was missed to
report it. 769-3585 or 769-3586 No special
arrangements will be made.
