Volunteers Needed!
  • Did You Know?
  • This league is run by volunteers
  • The only people we pay are our umpires in our
    Majors and Seniors divisions
  • Head Coach
  • Is responsible for running the team
  • Schedules and plans practices
  • Dont need to know much about baseball we will
    teach and guide you!
  • Assistant Coach
  • Assists the Head Coach with all of the duties of
    the team
  • Team Parent
  • Assists the Head Coach by making telephone calls
to players regarding cancellation of practices,
    games, and events
  • Takes care of all paperwork such as Medical
Release Forms and Parent Code of Conduct

19
Even More Volunteers Needed!

    of their shift
  • Meet the Coaches Pasta Dinner
  • Volunteers needed to make the night successful
  • Opening and Closing Weekend
  • People needed to help work at concession stands
    at all parks

20
No Volunteers? Now What?
  • No Head Coach?
  • The number of teams in the division are reduced
  • Players are stacked onto teams 15 17 players
    per team is possible
  • Results in less playing time and a less enjoyable
    experience for everyone involved
  • No Assistant Coach?
  • Head Coach cannot do it alone
  • Kids will suffer because they only have one coach
    teaching them
  • One coach means no one-on-one attention to help
    make a child better
  • Game day is a mess and disorganized. Players have
    to coach the bases
  • No Team Parent?
  • Head coach can handle all of the paperwork and
phone calls but it will ultimately take away time
    from practices and games
  • No Help in the Concession Stand?
  • Concession stand may be closed on certain days
due to no one being able to work

21
Still No Volunteers?
  • No Help at Meet the Coaches Night?
  • Lines are longer and children begin to get antsy
    and impatient
  • In turn, parents begin to get impatient
  • No Help on Opening and Closing Weekend?
  • League cannot make maximum profit on concessions
  • This in turn may cause us to increase
registration fee next season to offset expenses
  • Mini - Concession stands will not be available at
    all parks
