In May of 2005, a new baseball field was
opened in State College. This ball park is home
of the minor league team called the State College
Spikes. The Spikes are now a Class-A affiliate
of the Pittsburgh Pirates, that season begins on
June 19th. Kimball is serving as lead architect
and designer for the new stadium. The associated
firm of DLR Group is providing sports planning,
structural engineering, and interior design
services. The opening day for the new stadium
