- Begin your search for electronic books and
journals from the UNT Dallas Campus Library
website at http//www.unt.edu/unt-dallas/ - Go directly to http//www.library.unt.edu/ and
select the Electronic Resources link.

- You have now seen how to find the Electronic
Resources and hot to get around the website. - Now lets begin using on to to find articles.
- Go back to the Electronic Resources website.
16Select the E (for EBSCOhost) in the top
alphabet.
17Select EBSCOhost to begin searching this
database.
18Searching from Off Campus
- When searching from off campus you will be
required to fill in your EUID and password.
19For this example we will only use Academic Search
Premier. Leave this box checked. Select other
boxes to search more than one database a time.
Then select Continue.
20To conduct a simple search for a full text
article you will 1. Need to type your search
term in the Find field. (For example, use the
term organized crime.)
212. Check the Full Text box. 3. Select Search
to retrieve results.
22Select the title to view more detail about the
article.
23Use these links to view the full text article in
either HTML of PDF format.
24HTML verses PDF
- HTML will be mostly text and is quick to
download. - PDF Documents will need to have Adobe Acrobat
Reader (free to download) installed on your
computer and is a little slower to download.
However, the articles typically look like the
article as it appears in the original document,
including photos and charts. - When you have both options, your personal
preference is all that matters.
25Electronic Books
- Two good options for electronic books are
netLibrary and Safari Tech Books online. - To access them, return to the Electronic
Resources web page.

- UNT has access to over 45,000 titles
- Books you can read online
- Create your own bookshelf
- You can also find netLibrary eBooks in the UNT
Library catalog
27Select the N (for netLibrary) in the alphabet.
28Scroll down to find netLibrary. Select the
netLibrary link. Just remember you will be asked
for your EUID if you are off campus.
29This is the basic search screen for
netLibrary. You can search by Keybowrd, Title,
Author, or Full Text.
30This is an example of a book in netLibrary.
