Present status reported problems

• Lack of trough put on IP background
• Increase TCP window size to 128 (strd 64)
• Overcome slow start of IP by implementation of
  TCP PEP (Performance Enhancing proxi)
  send 06-06, receive 08-06
• Not getting full bandwidth on streaming
• Overhead of applications can add up
  substantially!

• All these applications work better over a
  streaming channel than on the background channel.
  
• Ensure that you choose a streaming channel that
  matches the datarequirements or settings of your
  application
• Do not leave the application (or the streaming
  channel) connected when not in use
• Application Remarks
• Alice in 64 128 mode, full bandwidth is
  utilised
• Motion Media hardware device, works well over
  64K channel
• MSN Messenger bandwidth usage is resonable in
  both audio and video mode. use only on
  background IP or 64K channel
• Yahoo Messenger uses more bandwidth in audio
  mode then in video mode. Video quality is ok,
  use only on Background IP or 32K
