achieving the highest pressure drop are eaten up
in energy usage to get to that point.

- Experience plays a big role in determining
optimum filtration energy savings - If air flow becomes obviously restricted due to
filter loading, a change is most likely needed - Location of AHU inside or outside
- Activity and make-up of area with return
- Some areas on campus may be prone to shorter
loading times than others - Pleated media is typically the most economical
filter in saving energy, as the air flow passes
over more surface area of media and is therefore
less restricted in its flow
