Maintenance Center Barstow
Maintenance Center Barstow (MCB) is a 267 acre
industrial site on the 1,859 acre Yermo Annex of
the Marine Corps Logistics Base located 3.5 miles
east of the city of Barstow, California. MCB lies
at the Defense Department's largest active
railhead, as well as the hub of all west coast
rail traffic for the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe
and Union Pacific railroads. Adjacent to the
base is the junction of three major highways
systems I-15, I-40, and SR-58, as well as the
Barstow-Daggett Airport. West of MCB, within 150
miles, are the two major seaports of Los Angeles
and San Diego. MCB's 1,197 employees represent
more than 70 different trades, and are
cross-trained to provide the full spectrum of
maintenance for ground combat and ground combat
service support equipment. Hallmark of MCB's
