Classmarks tell you where to find a book
  • You may be used to Dewey decimal
  • Lancasters Library uses BLISS classmarks
  • strings of letters and numbers that indicate what
    the subject of a book is
  • All the books for each subject are stored
    together!
  • Books with the same classmark are stored
    alphabetically by authors surname
