• Pay attention to details the author gives you
  throughout the story.
• Combine these details with your own prior
  knowledge (knowledge you had before reading) to
  make an inference.

• Visit the Norman Rockwell Museum
• Click on several of the prints to examine.
• Click on The Runaway to examine more closely.
• 2. Complete the Viewers Guide Questions on The
  Runaway.

Plan your tableau.

• Brainstorm related scenarios that would be
  appropriate for your title.
• Choose one and imagine it as a frozen scene from
  a movie or a painting.
• What would the setting be? Who would the
  characters be? What is the conflict?
• What props, scenery and costuming could you use
  to help tell the story?
• Be sure to add many details to help the viewer
  infer the story your tableau is telling.

Digital Photos

• Find a good place that fits the setting of your
  tableau.
• Take lots of photos to ensure a good one. The
  Sony Mavica takes better pictures close up than
  far way.
• Insert picture into a PowerPoint slide and
  stretch it to fill the slide.
• Save slide with your title as the name of the
  file in each group members home directory.
