Where, When and Why

• We will need a tractor or roto-tiller to dig for
  the seeds. We will be putting the pumpkin patch
  on the far left corner of the big field.We are
  planting Max Pumpkins.If we are able to put the
  pumpkin patch there we will try to put it in by
  October next year. We are doing this because we
  want the students and faculty to get in the fall
  spirit!

How Are Kids Going To Grow A Pumpkin Patch?

• If any kids at our school want to help plant
  pumpkins, they will have to take a test on how to
  plant them correctly so we know that the pumpkins
  will grow right.

• The tests will be graded and the top 6(for
  example) will schedule when they will be able to
  come plant and water their pumpkins. According
  to who is able to come, when the pumpkins are
  ready to be sold we will have kids come and tell
  customers about the pumpkins.

What Will We Do With The Money We Make?

We plan on using the money we make to purchase
dinner items for needy families in Tehama
County.To meet this goal we have, we will be
pricing the pumpkins by pound. 1 pound
pumpkin is 1 2 pound pumpkin
is 2 3 pound pumpkin is 3
4-7 pound pumpkins are 4
8-15 pound pumpkins are 5
Hopefully there will be around 200 pumpkins to
sell!! We plan on getting the money to buy the 2
pounds of pumpkin seeds and a rental tractor
from fundraisers. The pumpkin seeds will cost
around 120.00!

Fund Raiser

• We will need money to buy pumpkin seeds and to
  rent a tractor. How will we get the money?We will
  be having a car wash, a bake sale, and well sell
  tickets to reserve pumpkins for people that dont
  have time to come down to the pumpkin patch.
  People who reserve pumpkins will have a pumpkin
  sent to their house.

What Will We Do With The Pumpkins We Grow?

• With some of the pumpkins that dont sell, well
  carve into jack-o-lanterns and bake the gooey,
  yucky seeds into yummy, salty pumpkin seeds.

• With the rest of the pumpkins that arent sold,
  we will bake them into delicious pumpkin pies and
  give them to needy families for Thanksgiving.
