  • sensation similar to a flip.
  • Provides a familiar sensation that links to new
    lesson.

Present the Stimulus

    student.
  • Begins jumping using only the feet first with the
    feet followed
  • by jumping much higher using the arms as well.
  • Successive steps are added until student can

Elicit Performance
  • After enough self confidence is achieved, a
    project is introduced
  • Flips are completed at will on Olympic trampoline
  • The learner will move to different trampolines
    showing the learner
  • they can flip anywhere.

Providing Feedback
  • The instructor and student discuss the areas that
    require
  • the most improvement.
  • Student truly begins to understand the process
  • involved with learning and self-confidence.

9
Assessing Performance

    student attempting
  • a back flip without guidance from the
    instructor.
  • This provides feedback as to students standing
    on abilities.
  • Placing the student in different scenarios
    provides for assessment

10
Enhancing Retention and Transfer
  • After learner can freely complete back flips,
    learning
  • front flips and twists is much easier.
  • The learner has mastered controlling the body
  • in the air this skill is the key to all other
