Who am I?
  • My weapon is a thunderbolt which I hurl at those
    who displease me.
  • I am the god of justice and mercy, the protector
    of the weak, and the punisher of the wicked.
  • I am the supreme ruler of the gods.
  • My name is reflected in the waters of a canal in
    Egypt.

  • I am the goddess of wisdom, reason, war, art,
    literature, handicrafts and agriculture.
  • I am brave in battle but I only fight to defend
    against enemies.
  • I invented the trumpet, flute, rake, plow, the
    ship and the chariot.
  • I am Zeus favorite child and he allows me to use
    his weapons (including his thunderbolt).
  • My favorite city is Athens.

  • The statue of me to the left is known as Venus
    de Milo.
  • If someone wishes to fall in love they can take
    an aphrodisiac, a love potion named after me.

  • We were once imprisoned by a ruler named Cronus.
  • Zeus released us and we fought with him against
    the Titans.
  • As a debit of gratitude, we gave Zeus his weapons
    of lighting and thunder.
  • We still hang out on Mount Olympus forging his
    thunderbolts.
  • But we are best known as gigantic one-eyed
    monsters .

  • I taught man medicine.
  • My daily task is to harness my chariot with four
    horses and drive the sun across the sky.
  • In modern times NASA named a spaceship after me.

    increasing my subjects.
  • I am also the god of wealth because of the
    precious metals deep within the Earth.
  • I will show you how shady the underworld is if
    you forget to pronounce the e in my name.

    than many gods.
  • I am the last mortal son of Zeus and became a god
    when I died.
  • Once when it became too hot, I pulled out my
    arrow and threatened to shoot the sun.

    the river Styx (a river to the underworld) in an

    sun.
  • Athena denied my request.
  • I became angry and said Athena was jealous of my
    beauty.
  • Athena punished me by turning my hair into snakes
    and cursed me so that anyone who looks into my
    eyes would turn to stone.
