The mission of York College is to provide a

REMINDER Submit your entries to 
bdmcneese_at_york.edu to be considered for 
publication in Unvarnished Words. We are still 
accepting poetry, as well as short stories and 
artwork. 
 4S.T.E.P. 
- The exam will be offered one more time this 
semester Saturday, Feb. 21, 930 a.m., H100.  
You should allow 2 hours for the exam.   - Please arrange your schedule to allow you to take 
the exam.  Come by the Office of Academic Affairs 
in Sack 208 to register for the exam or call 
Linda Ross at 363-5677.

-  Every Education Student who is ready to Student 
Teach in the Fall 2009 semester, please come by 
Deb Friesen's office, Middlebrook 215, for an 
application as soon as possible.  We would like 
the applications picked up, filled out, and 
returned no later than February 20, 2009. 
  7Wresting Tournament
-  Saturday, Feb. 21st, York College will be 
hosting the 2009 NAIA Central Qualifying 
Wrestling Tournament beginning at 900 a.m.  -  Check the Website for details. The wrestling 
team will also begin selling T-Shirts for 
10 Tuesday after chapel

  10The Crucible 
- York College Spring Drama Production "The 
Crucible" will open Thursday February 26 _at_ 730 
P.M., and be performed Friday February 27  
Saturday February 28 _at_ 730 P.M., and Sunday 
March 1 _at_ 200 P.M.  - Gurganus Hall. 
 - Tickets are free for all York College Students, 
faculty  staff.   - Tickets maybe reserved by calling the York 
College Box Office  363-5641.

- Welcome to our Home School Day visitors.  We're 
glad you're on campus today! 
  12Basketball Shirts
- The Women's Basketball Team still has some shirts 
left to sell! Go talk to Coach Jen Spickelmier or 
any of the members of the team and grab up a 
shirt for only 5! 
  13FAFSA
- Students returning for the fall 2009 semester 
please have your FAFSA completed by May 31st to 
help ensure your eligibility of scholarships such 
as the Taylor Leadership and Heritage. You can 
fill your FAFSA out at www.fafsa.ed.gov if you 
have any questions, please contact the financial 
aid office in Sack Hall.

- Nebraska Youth Camp summer staff applications are 
now avaliable at www.nebraskayouthcamp.com.
