give advise to anyone who wants to be an

important steps that I followed were studying
math and science in school. There have actually
been a lot of women, who are astronauts, that
that's a career that's open to them.

Lost in Space?

• Project Mercury, initiated in 1958 and completed
  in 1963, was the United States' first
  human-in-space program. It was designed to
  further knowledge about humanity's capabilities
  in space.
