A literacy TUTORING program that enables
trained volunteers to work one-to-one or in
group settings with individuals or families to
help them to learn how to read, write, and/or
speak ENGLISH, at no cost to the participants
ESOL

REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 YEARS of age
unless attending with an adult Complete an
orientation workshop and 21 HOURS of classroom
training Provide TWO hours of instruction a
week for ONE year

HOW CAN YOU HELP? Become a trained volunteer to
teach ESOL and/or Basic Literacy Donate your
time to assist an individual or family to learn
how to read and write ENGLISH Help immigrant
refugees prepare for their U.S. citizenship exam
