Ship Information
"A Salute to Hollywood" is the ongoing theme
throughout the many public areas aboard the
Carnival Fascination. From the dazzling Diamonds
Are Forever Disco to the Passage to India Lounge
with its ancient Indian artifacts, guests will
enjoy a wide range of dining and entertainment
options. Enjoy dazzling Broadway-style
productions in the Palace Lounge, live music and
dancing in one of Hollywood Boulevards themed
bars and lounges, or try your luck in the Casino
Royale, featuring 250 slot machines along with
roulette, blackjack and other table games. Guests
can browse the wonderful selection of fine art in
the ships Art Gallery, or spend a few hours
being pampered at Spa Carnival. The Tropical
Coconut Grove Bar Grill supplements two
traditional dining rooms, and a sushi bar is a
new addition to the Promenade Deck. Out on deck,
guests can enjoy a nine-hole mini-golf course and
three-deck-high twisting waterslide, plus an
adults-only "Serenity" area that offers bar
service, ocean vistas and whirlpools for
relaxation. Kids have their own areas for
relaxing, too, with Camp Carnival and teen
hangout Club O2. Staterooms have been redesigned
and feature the luxurious linens of the Carnival
Comfort Bed Collection, flat-screen TVs and
restyled bathrooms

An active city, Jacksonville offers visitors
opportunites to try water sports, fishing,
hiking, biking and horseback riding. Visit the
headquarters of the Professional Golf Association
or the Jacksonville Zoological Gardens, an
ecologically aware zoo. The Museum of Science and
History has an exhibit for everyone, including a
display on manatees and dolphins and an excellent
Civil War collection.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas
Half Moon Cay is a private island shared by
Holland America, Windstar and Carnival. The
island is nine and a half miles around and has
nine miles of beach (including an exquisite
two-mile crescent-shaped beach), an exterior
lagoon and an interior lagoon. The Bahamian
National trust has designated part of Half Moon
Cay a wild bird preserve, leaving all but 55 of
the island's 2,400 acres untouched and unspoiled,
and creating a plentiful habitat for a variety of
land and sea birds. Spend the day horseback
riding or hiking the island's nature trails
through the lush broadleaf forest. Enjoy
swimming, sunning and relaxing on the beach, or
go scuba diving, snorkeling or kayaking. Deep-sea
fishing, parasailing and glass-bottom boat rides
are available. A variety of water "toys" are
available for rent, including Hobie catamarans,
Sunfish sailboats, windsurfing sailboards and
kayaks.

This capital city is a constant reminder of
British influence in the Bahamas. Shoppers will
want to hit the famous straw market, while those
looking for some relaxation will find their place
on the white-sand beaches of Paradise Island.
Snorkeling and diving excursions and outings to
Crystal Cay and Blue Lagoon Island also are
popular. Ships dock just steps from downtown,
making it easy to explore on foot.

Passport Requirements

• As of June 1, 2009, passports are required for
  all travelers, including citizens of the U.S. and
  Canada, who enter or re-enter the U.S. by air,
  land or sea. There are a few notable exceptions
  pertaining to land and sea border crossings
• U.S. citizens on cruises that begin and end in
  the same U.S. port and travel to destinations in
  Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, the Bahamas,
  Bermuda or Central America are able to re-enter
  the U.S. with proof of citizenship other than a
  passport or passport card. Acceptable proof of
  citizenship includes an original or certified
  copy of your birth certificate and a
  government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's
  license). Passports are required for cruises that
  begin in one U.S. port and end in another.
• Children under the age of 16 who are citizens of
  the U.S. or Canada are exempt from the passport
  requirement for land and sea border crossings. In
  lieu of a passport, children are able to use a
  birth certificate as proof of citizenship for
  entry into the U.S. by land or by sea. Children
  entering or re-entering the U.S. by air are
  required to have a valid passport.
• A new, lower-cost alternative to the passport,
  called a passport card, is acceptable for entries
  into the U.S. by land or sea. Compared to
  passports, which cost 100 for first-time
  applicants (85 for children), passport cards
  cost just 45 (35 for children). The passport
  card is not acceptable for air travel.
• Photocopies of required documentation are not
  acceptable in any circumstance.
