Camera Loaner Kits
  • 3 Small Wonder loaner kits are available
  • Each kit contains 5 cameras
  • Can be borrowed for up to two weeks
  • Kits must be picked up and dropped off in person
    cannot be sent via Board mail)

Production Filming
  • You may wish to assign roles to students
  • Producer (co-ordinates scenes from the
    storyboard)

Production Filming Tips
  • Roll the film for 2-3 seconds prior to action
  • Avoid excessive shaking (consider a tripod)
  • Ensure adequate lighting
  • Use zoom sparingly
  • Pan slowly
  • Delete bad takes right away (saves time later!)
  • Try filming using different camera shots/angles
  • Speak loudly, clearly and slowly for better
    audio quality

Get Organized Create a Folder
  • Place your memory stick the USB port of the
    computer
  • Go to Start gt My Computer
  • Double click the Removable Drive
  • (this is your memory sticks storage space)
  • Create a folder on the memory stick called Video
    Workshop
  • Save all of your files for todays workshop in
    that folder to keep them organized

Downloading the Footage
  • Follow along with your instructor to download the
    footage onto your memory stick

Windows Movie Maker
  • Lets import the video clips into Movie Maker
  • Then well edit, add titles, transitions etc.
  • Follow along with your instructor

Make Your Movie!
  • TASK In groups of 2 or 3, select an antique from
    the table. Imagine you are filming for the
    Antiques Roadshow television show. Your group
    must plan the script (storyboard) for an episode
    and film it.
  • Once you are done filming, import your footage
    into Movie Maker.
  • Then use the skills you have learned today to add
    titles, transitions and other special effects.
  • Note Each group will be posting their final
    product to Netcaster to share their work online.
