What does the Break away from Rome mean?

• Hey Im Ronaldinho. I will explain exactly what
  the break away from Rome means. The Break Away
  from Rome simply means how Henry made his new
  religion, The Church of England. The reason
  Henry decided to create his new religion was that
  he wanted to be able to divorce his wife which he
  obviously couldnt do if he was a Roman Catholic.
  Hence the phrase The Break Away from Rome.
  This was a significant event in history because
  it meant the beginning of a new religion which
  would last for some time to come.

Why did it Happen?

• Hi Im Wayne Rooney. In this slide I will be
  explaining, in detail, the full reasons for Henry
  creating his new religion.
• Believe it or not Henry was a devout Catholic and
  accepted the Pope as the head of the Head of the
  Church he was even Given the title Defender of
  the Faith. But it all began when the Pope and
  King Henry had an argument when Henry asked the
  Pope to free him from his marriage and the Pope
  disagreed. But Henry knew how he cold get around
  this.
• Henry was also swayed by some other factors such
  as the people of England liked new Protestant
  ideas such as an English Bible. The Protestant
  religion is also spreading across Germany and
  Europe. The church was very rich and Henry
  wanted to get his hands on the money. Rome also
  took money from him to build St.Peters in Rome.

The Aftermath

• So Henry went back to England where other things
  also influenced him before he went to Rome to
  divorce Catherine, he had fallen in love with
  Anne Boleyn. He also discovered a Bible passage
  which frightened him it said that if you marry
  your brothers wife you will be cursed, this
  worried Henry because his brother Arthur who died
  when he was 14 was married to Catherine. So
  Henry decided to create his own religion were he
  could make up the rules that suited him. This
  also gave Henry a degree more control and power
  in his country.

Conclusion

• So that is how it has been since then but think
  how different it may have been had this not
  happened. If England had remained a Catholic
  country would there have been no such thing as
  The Troubles. This highlights how much of a
