To navigate through this training program, use
your left mouse button to click on the left or
right arrows. Clicking on the left arrow will
take you back one screen, while clicking on the
right arrow will take you forward one screen.

5Emergency Evacuation
?
6Purpose
- This procedure describes the system practiced to
remove all personnel from the building in
response to emergency circumstances where life
and safety are at risk. The object of the
evacuation is to efficiently remove all people to
safety and then direct rescue efforts to anyone
who remains inside.

7Evacuation Overview
- Everyone in the plant should be one of the seven
evacuation teams (see next slide for the
rosters). - Each team has several Emergency Coordination Team
(ECT) Members. - Each team has a designated reporting post in the
front or back parking lot or on the west, rear
side of the building.

- Upon evacuation, the first ECT member out the
door for each evacuation point grabs the fanny
pack and evacuation rosters from the emergency
cabinet. - The ECT member uses the roster to account for
their team members.

- The ECT member for each evacuation point will
report the names of unaccounted or additional
team members to the Evacuation Manager or report
a full accounting. - The ECT members communicate by two-way radio to
locate missing persons generate a list of
people who cannot be accounted for. - The Evacuation Manager will notify emergency
personnel of missing persons in the event of an
actual emergency.

- When alarm sounds, stop work and where possible
quickly shut down or idle equipment. - Proceed to the exit nearest where you happen to
be at the time. - Refer to your facility map for the nearest exit

35Purpose
- The Camden Facility has a Medical Emergency
Response Plan to enable us to respond quickly and
effectively to medical emergencies that occur
on-site. We have a trained staff of Medic First
Responders on all shifts.

- For all medical emergencies page a Medic First
Responder to assess the situation. - Procedures are posted on the front of every first
aid cabinet. Refer to your facility maps for the
location of the cabinets.

following - How to page a First Responder.
- How to handle injuries with excessive bleeding,
or if the person is in extreme distress or
unconscious. - The location of two medical facilities.
- A list of personnel certified in Medic First Aid.

38Accident Reporting
- A Supervisors Accident Report must be completed
for ALL injuries and near misses. It is the
injured employees and his/her Supervisors
responsibility for completing this report within
24 hours of the incident. Please ask the Human
Resource Representative or the Environmental
Safety Engineer for copies.

39Biohazard Clean up
- Clean up of blood spills or other bodily fluids
will be done by the First Responder Team. Our
Medic First Responders are the only individuals
in the facility that have the proper training to
handle any biohazardous (blood or any other
bodily fluid) materials.
