Profile

• My name is Fiona Charnele Holmes. I am 17 years
  old. I was born and raised in Pleasant Hill, La.
• My parents are Patricia and Roy Chester Holmes. I
  have an older sister named Tiara.
• The most important person in my life is my mom
  because shes always there for me.
• Ive always been known as the shy girl. The
  truth is, Ive just always kept to myself.
• I enjoy many different things such as hanging out
  with my friends and talking on the phone.
• I consider myself to be creative. I enjoy drawing
  or doing any type of art work in my spare time.
• My goal is to go to a school called Savanna s
  College of Art and Design.
• If I could change anything about myself, it would
  be to control my temper and not get all stressed
  out over every little thing.

• Ive been asked to choose from a variety of my
  writing samples and include them into my
  portfolio. Ive also been asked to provide an
  explanation as to why I chose these particular
  samples to represent me. I chose four writing
  examples from different classes.
• First I chose an essay entitled The Roaring
  Twenties from my American History class. After
  doing research for this essay, I got a better
  understanding of what the 20s were all about. I
  enjoyed writhing about all the famous
  achievements and events that took place in the
  1920s.
• Another writing sample I chose was called
  Freedom In Schools. This particular essay
  allowed me to share my feelings and express my
  opinions about certain issues taking place in
  schools.
• I also included a document in my portfolio
  entitled Open House. This sample was an
  assignment from my Desktop Publishing class. In
  this document I wrote about an event called Open
  House that took place at our school. I described
  what Open House was and included important
  information about the event. I enjoyed writing
  this sample because it allowed me to be creative
  in my writing.
• Last but not least, I chose an essay called
  Self- Improvement from my English III class.
  This essay was a very special one because it gave
  me a chance to observe what I need to work on to
  improve myself.
• So as you can see, I enjoy writing. Each one of
  these writing samples showed the different styles
  of my writing. This is why I chose these four
  writing samples to put into my portfolio.
